We offer all forms of final disposition, including Traditional

and Direct Cremation.
We provide guidance in all aspects of the funeral selected
including consultation with family and clergy, preparation
and filing of all necessary notices, authorizations and
consents, certificates and permits. Coordinating with
those providing other portions of the funeral, e.g., cemetery,
crematory, and others. Supervising of all arrangements
pertaining to the funeral service and direction of funeral
and assistance to the family following the funeral and
final disposition, and presence at place of final disposition.

|
We have an on site casket selection room to make your
selection of merchandise easy and convenient.
Each of our viewing rooms are comfortable and warm and
have a side seating room off of the main room to accommodate
large visitations. |
 |
|
The funeral home is ADA compliant. We have handicapped
parking in both of the parking lots located on either
side of the building. We also have a handicapped restroom.
All viewing rooms are located on the first floor of the
building. There are no stairs. We also have wheelchairs
available for those in need. |
 |
We offer folding chairs for all occasions. This enables
the families we serve to have adequate seating in their
homes for, not only funerals, but birthdays, anniversaries,
and retirement parties.

As
a continuation of our dedicated service we are pleased
to also provide what we call aftercare. This is the care
you receive after all the services are over. We find it
necessary to help you through the grieving process as
best we can.
We have our bereavement coordinator, Lulu Orr. Lulu has
an extensive background in helping people through life's
hardest times. For the past 12 years Lulu, a registered
nurse, worked with the terminally ill and their families
both in their homes and in a hospice in - patient setting.
As a hands-on caregiver and as an administrator Lulu worked
intensely with dying issues and anticipatory grief. Through
these experiences Lulu saw a real lack of service for
the recently bereaved. This time is so difficult and with
so many questions yet seemingly so few answers, that she
has worked with us to develop this service for all the
families that we serve. This will hopefully make this
painfully difficult time a bit more manageable.
Lulu Orr is also the founder and executive director of
the Good Grief center for bereavement support. Located
at 2717 Murray Avenue,
Pittsburgh, PA 15217, Phone: 412-224-4700, Fax: 412-224-4717. www.ggconline.org
